Local Trades Network was founded to remove the worry and hassle from employing a Tradesperson to carry out work on your behalf. Local Trades Network is made up of locally based Trades Professionals, covering all aspects of the Building Trade.
Through speaking with members of the public, we quickly understood that there were some common concerns when it comes to employing a company to carry out work for you.
Here are the three most common concerns:
1. Arranging more than one quote was taking too long. Researching the local papers or the internet for reliable companies took more time than it should. Some Traders would not want to quote for the work and some wouldn’t even answer the phone or return your calls.
We save you time by getting the interested Traders to contact you to book an appointment. This saves you time and money and guarantees that the Trader is actually interested in carrying out the work for you. Just tell us how many quotes you need.
2. You did not like to question the Tradespersons credentials but would prefer to know that they know what they are doing and are fully covered from an insurance point of view.
Before a Network member can join the Local Trades Network, they must meet certain criteria. We check trade references to get a better idea of the prospective Traders standard or work and customer service.
We check that every member has up to date Public Liability Insurance and all members need to have at least three years relevant experience in their chosen trade.
For certain industries, we also check that they are members or their own appropriate governing body for example, that a Gas Fitter is located on the Gas Safe Register (formerly Corgi.)
3. Getting Tradesmen to return to correct work is often difficult and stressful.
All Local Trades Network members work to a set of standards which although minor, are very important to you, the customer.
Members will be punctual for both appointments and the working day. They will call you if any arrangements have to be changed for any reason.
Members will leave no waste material behind unless you have asked them to leave certain items.
Members will treat your home or premises as if it were their own.
Members will always try to give you the most competitive quote possible. Please remember that as a Local Trades Network customer, you will be quoted by a highly qualified and experienced trader and you should expect to pay a fair days pay for a fair days work.
All members try to provide the best customer service possible and fully expect to have to return to some jobs after completion should anything not be to your satisfaction.
